IndyStar Acknowledges Mira Award Nominees -- Including Control-Z
March 5, 2012There are more than a thousand Indiana small businesses registered under the “IT” classification, and statewide technology initiative. TechPoint has recently acknowledged some of the elites. IndyStar reports that TechPoint’s yearly Mira Award Nominees, just unveiled, include 23 local IT companies in the category of IT Services Excellence and Innovation. Control-Z IT is honored to be one of the 23.
These annual awards are given out to honor significant achievements among Indiana’s technology-focused businesses and schools. Industry insiders refer to it as the Indiana IT industry’s equivalent of the Academy Awards. TechPoint has been giving out the Mira Awards for thirteen years now.
TechPoint’s Mira Awards winners and nominees are determined on the basis of a specific set of criteria. According to TechPoint, the role of the Mira Awards is to “recognize excellence and innovation through the achievement of Indiana’s outstanding technology industry performers and contributors, and focuses attention on the broader issue of the important role technology plays in Indiana’s economy.”
Control-Z is nominated in the field of IT Services Excellence and Innovation, alongside 22 other fine Indiana IT firms. The nomination comes partly due to Control-Z’s devotion to providing superior IT services and continually using imagination and creativity. Another part of it, however, is the company’s passion for using their resources to serve the local community and grow Indiana’s economy.
The nominees will be evaluated by a panel of independent judges and the winners of the 2012 Mira awards will be announced on May 12. A black-tie gala event, held at the JW Marriot in Indianapolis, will include an Oscars-style awards ceremony. Regardless of the outcome of the award itself, Control-Z is honored to be ranked among Indiana’s technology trailblazers, and to receive such a significant vote of confidence from such a prestigious organization.
